DENVER, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Randy Johnson extended his winning streak over Colorado to eight games with six effective innings Wednesday night, giving Arizona a 6-3 victory.
Danny Bautista doubled his home run output for the season with two blasts for the Diamondbacks.
Entering the game with a 12-4 career record against Colorado, Johnson was looking to extend his seven-game run over the Rockies, which included his fourth career one-hitter on Sept. 14.
The five-time Cy Young Award winner was staked to a 2-0 lead before giving it back, allowing Juan Uribe's career-high ninth homer -- a two-run shot -- in the third.
But Bautista belted a solo homer in the fourth and added a two-run blast in the eighth to secure the victory for Johnson, who has not lost to the Rockies since June 24, 2001.
