Rain suspends play at Idea Prokom Open

SOPOT, Poland, July 29 (UPI) -- Argentine Guillermo Coria had a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Romanian Victor Hanescu at the Idea Prokom Open Tuesday while rain delayed more matches.

Coria, who has not dropped a set during his winning streak, is aiming for his third title in as many weeks and fourth of the year.

The 21-year-old has won 22 of his last 23 matches on clay.

Christophe Rochus will be Coria's second-round foe after the Belgian completed his rain-delayed match against Argentine Federico Browne, 6-3, 6-3.

David Nalbandian of Argentine dispatched Swiss veteran Marc Rosset, 6-2, 6-4. Nalbandian next faces Spain's David Ferrer, a 7-6 (7-2), 6-2 winner over Czech Bohdan Ulihrach.

Most of the women's first-round action got underway.

Third seed Anna Pistolesi of Israel posted a 6-3, 5-7, 6-2 triumph over Henrieta Nagyova of Slovakia.
