Inkster gets 30th career victory

EVIAN-LES-BAINS, France, July 26 (UPI) -- Julie Inkster had another brilliant round Saturday, carding a 7-under-par 65 to easily win the Evian Masters.

Friday, Inkster matched the course and tournament record with a 64. With another bogey-free round Saturday, Inkster finished at 21-under for her 30th career title, breaking Annika Sorenstam's four-round total from last year by two strokes.

The 43-year-old Inkster next week will try to join Australian Carrie Webb as the only players to win all five majors on the LPGA Tour at next week's Women's British Open.

Rosie Jones, who entered Saturday tied with Inkster, had a 1-over-73 Saturday and finished tied for third with Mexican rookie Lorena Ochoa.

Hee Won-Han of Korea was second, six shots behind Inkster after signing for a 3-under 69 Saturday.
