Lynn leads Irish Open

PORTMARNOCK, Ireland, July 25 (UPI) -- David Lynn of England shot the low round of the day Friday, carding a 7-under-par 65 that put him one shot in front of Michael Campbell at the Irish Open.

Lynn moved to 10-under 134 as he seeks his first career win on the European Tour. The 29-year-old had been on the tour for six years, during which he has two runner-up finishes.

Campbell has not had a top-20 finish in his last seven starts. But a 69 moved him within a stroke of Lynn at 135.

First-round leader Thomas Bjorn, less than a week removed from his British Open collapse, stumbled to a 74 -- 10 shots worse than his score on Thursday.

Peter Lawrie of Ireland carded a 68 that left him four shots behind Lynn at 138.
