CHICAGO, July 22 (UPI) -- The Chicago White Sox completed a sweep of Cleveland Tuesday afternoon with a 5-2 win.
In the victory, which completes a two-game sweep, the White Sox got home runs from Frank Thomas, Magglio Ordonez and Carlos Lee, and Bartolo Colon snapped a personal four-game losing streak, getting his first win in more than six weeks.
Thomas and Ordonez wet back-to-back in the first inning to stake Colon to an early 3-0 lead. The White Sox extended their winning streak to five games and evened their record at 50-50.
Colon had not won June 7, going 0-4 with a 5.86 ERA in his previous seven starts. The hard-throwing righthander breezed through Cleveland's lineup.
Cleveland's Coco Crisp led off the game with a double, then Colon retired 17 in a row before Crisp doubled again in the sixth.
The loss was the seventh in a row for the Indians, who at 41-59, have their worst record after 100 games since 1991 (34-66).
