Cincinnati will play the rest of the season without Ken Griffey, Jr., who ruptured a tendon in his right ankle Thursday night.

The Reds scored the game's first run on Aaron Boone's 17th home run off Roy Oswalt (6-5) in the second inning, but Houston took the lead for good one frame later on Bagwell's 18th homer, a two-out shot to left-center on a 2-0 offering from Ryan Dempster (3-7).

Hidalgo made it 4-1 with a homer in the fourth and gave Oswalt a four-run cushion with his second shot of the contest two frames later.
