MILWAUKEE, June 22 (UPI) -- Denny Hocking homered, tripled and scored three runs Sunday to help the Minnesota Twins take an 8-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers.
Making just his 11th start of the campaign, Hocking matched a season high with three hits.
After Hocking walked with one out in the top of the first inning, Corey Koskie launched a 1-0 pitch from Brewers starter Matt Kinney (5-6) over the right field wall to put the Twins ahead for good, 2-0.
Torii Hunter and rookie Justin Morneau also homered as Minnesota won for just the second time in six games.
Twins starter Kenny Rogers (6-3) was reached for a season-high seven runs Tuesday at Kansas City. But the veteran lefthander bounced back, yielding three runs and scattering seven hits in five-plus innings.
Geoff Jenkins hit his 16th homer and Scott Podsednik tripled for the Brewers, who have dropped 10 of their last 15 games.
