Chi. White Sox 3, Boston 1

CHICAGO, June 18 (UPI) -- Esteban Loaiza worked eight innings Wednesday night and D'Angelo Jimenez scored twice as the Chicago White Sox upended Boston, 3-1.

Loaiza became the fourth 10-game winner in the majors.

Signed as an insurance policy in the offseason, Loaiza (10-2) not only has contributed to Chicago's limited success this season, he has emerged as the ace of rotation that includes Bartolo Colon and Mark Buehrle.

Loaiza allowed a run, six hits and a walk. He struck out six and joined Seattle's Jamie Moyer, Toronto's Roy Halladay and Los Angeles' Kevin Brown with 10 wins. He lowered his league-leading ERA to 2.15 and has all but assured himself of a spot on the American League roster in next month's All-Star Game.
