San Francisco 6, Colorado 2

SAN FRANCISCO, May 31 (UPI) -- Ray Durham had three hits and Rich Aurilia homered Friday night as the San Francisco Giants posted a 6-2 victory over Colorado, ending the Rockies' five-game winning streak.

Durham was activated from the disabled list Monday after missing 15 days with a right ankle sprain. He suffered the injury on May 10 and San Francisco lost nine of 14 games without him, nearly falling out of first place in the National League West division.

After striking out as a pinch hitter in a loss at Colorado on Monday, Durham has started in the last three games and is 6-for-15 in that span. His RBI single snapped a 1-1 tie in the fifth inning and triggered a three-run rally for the Giants.

San Francisco starter Kurt Ainsworth (5-4) allowed one run and seven hits in 6 2/3 innings while striking out a career-high eight batters - all in the first four innings. He defeated Colorado for the second time in a week.

Rockies starter Darren Oliver (2-4) cruised through the first three innings, allowing only one hit. But his first two pitches of the fourth inning were out of the strike zone and Aurilia hit the next delivery over the left-center field fence for his sixth homer.
