SAN ANTONIO, March 29 (UPI) -- Tim Duncan continued his push toward a second straight MVP award and the San Antonio Spurs continued their mastery of the Utah Jazz Saturday night, 101-81.

The Jazz are hoping that is the last time they see the Spurs this season. San Antonio is in third place in the Western Conference while Utah is sixth, meaning the teams would square off in the first round of the playoffs.

Tony Parker added 17 points and Bruce Bowen had 16 for the Spurs, who used a 24-2 run bridging the third and fourth quarters to turn a close game into a rout.

Greg Ostertag had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Utah, which had a season-high six-game winning streak stopped. Jazz Coach Jerry Sloan was ejected early in the fourth quarter after picking up his second technical foul.
