New York 125, Cleveland 93

NEW YORK, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Allan Houston scored 29 points Monday night as the New York Knicks rolled to a 125-93 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, who have lost 15 consecutive games.

Kurt Thomas added 22 points and Latrell Sprewell chipped in 20 for the Knicks, who recorded a season high for points in a half - 65 in the first - and game while extending their season-best winning streak to three.

Rookie Dajuan Wagner scored 25 points for the 2-17 Cavaliers, who have the longest skid in the NBA this season and are frontrunners in the sweepstakes for LeBron James, the high school prep star from Ohio who is being billed as the future of the league.

The Knicks, who dropped 10 of their first 12 games before their current run, built a 26-16 lead late in the first quarter. They had runs of 9-0 and 8-0 in the second period and took a 65-38 bulge into halftime.

New York shot 58 percent from the field (37-of-64) through three quarters and build a 36-point lead in the fourth. All 12 Knicks scored.
