Detroit 106, Indiana 91

INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Richard Hamilton scored 22 points and Jon Barry and fellow reserve Corliss Williamson had 19 apiece Saturday night as the Detroit Pistons ended Indiana's nine-game winning streak, 106-91.

The Pacers had gained league-wide attention by winning 10 of their first 11 games -- the best start in franchise history. But the Pistons had won 10 of their first 13 and showed the toughness that led them to the 2001-02 Central Division title.

Barry made seven of nine shots off the bench as defensive-minded Detroit shot 50 percent and ended a streak of 11 consecutive games with 93 points or less.

The Pistons never trailed in the fourth quarter but were clinging to 79-76 lead with 11:07 left before pulling away with a 10-4 run. Williamson scored four points during the spurt and Clifford Robinson, who finished with 12 points, capped it with a three-pointer for an 89-80 cushion at 7:17.

Barry scored four points and Williamson had a three-point play as Detroit sealed the win with a 10-0 burst late in the period.

Chucky Atkins and Zeljko Rebraca had 15 points apiece for the Pistons, who had six players in double figures and won for the sixth time in seven games.
