Los Angeles 3; N.Y. Mets 2 (13 innings)

LOS ANGELES, May 14 (UPI) -- A pinch single by Jeff Reboulet with two outs in the single in the bottom of the 13th inning Monday night scored Eric Karros with the winning run as the Los Angeles Dodgers outlasted the New York Mets, 3-2.

Karros singled with one out in the 13th off rookie Mark Corey, the Mets' sixth pitcher. Hiram Bocachica struck out, but Karros moved up on a wild pitch.

After Adrian Beltre was walked intentionally, Reboulet dropped a single in front of centerfielder Timo Perez, whose throw to the plate short-hopped Mets catcher Mike Piazza as Karros slid in with the winning run.

Corey (0-1), recalled from the minors before the game, took the loss in New York's second 13-inning defeat in as many days.

Carrara (3-1), the sixth pitcher used by Los Angeles Manager Jim Tracy, allowed one hit in two scoreless innings for the victory.

The Dodgers took a 2-1 into the eighth, but a bloop single by Mo Vaughn scored Edgardo Alfonzo with the tying run.
