DENVER, May 13 (UPI) -- Denny Stark pitched six scoreless innings in his National League debut and pinch hitter Greg Norton

smacked a grand slam to power the resurgent Colorado Rockies to a 7-3 triumph over the Florida Marlins Monday night.

Recalled from Class AAA Colorado Springs (AAA) before the game, Stark (1-0) allowed just two hits and struck out two. The 27-year-old righthander retired 12 of his final 14 batters before leaving with a 2-0 lead.

Norton batted for Stark in the bottom of the sixth after Marlins reliever Gary Knotts walked the bases loadded. Norton got ahead of the count, 2-1, before hitting his second homer of the season to make it 6-0.

Bobby Estalella had two hits, scored twice and drove in a run for Colorado, which has won 11 of its last 16 games.

Florida starter Brad Penny (3-2) took the loss, despite allowing just two unearned runs and five hits hile striking out five in five innings.

Charles Johnson homered in the seventh for the Marlins, who lost star right fielder Cliff Floyd in the fourth inning. The National League's ninth-leading hitter ran into the wall pursuing a foul ball in the fourth inning and suffered a strained right knee.
