Houston 13, Florida 7 (10 inn.)

VIERA, Fla., March 22 (UPI) -- Journeyman Alan Zinter had his second two-homer game in three days Friday to power the Houston Astros to a 13-7 victory over the Florida Marlins in 10 innings.

Zinter, who has gone deep five times this spring, hit a solo homer in the ninth inning and added a grand slam off Jason Grilli to highlight a six-run 10th.

The Marlins sent the game into extra innings on a two-run single by Eric Owens in the bottom of the ninth. Owens had two hits and drove in three runs.

The game featured 27 hits, 14 by Houston.

Geoff Blum had three hits and Daryle Ward drove in four runs for the Astros.

Florida starter Matt Clement had a long day, allowing six runs and seven hits in five innings.

Houston's Carlos Hernandez yielded two runs and six hits in 4 2/3 innings.
