Anaheim 13, Arizona 6

TEMPE, Ariz., March 11 (UPI) -- Tim Salmon hit a three-run homer and Darin Erstad scored three runs and drove in another as the Anaheim Angels posted a 13-6 triumph Monday over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Adam Kennedy went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI for Anaheim, which pounded out 15 hits. Shawn Wooten also had two hits, including a double for the Angels.

Anaheim starter Jarrod Washburn was tagged for six runs and seven hits in three innings. But four relievers, including closer Troy Percival, combined on six scoreless innings.

Arizona starter Rick Helling also was hit hard, allowing five runs and eight hits in four innings. One bright spot for the Diamondbacks was Bret Prinz, who retired all four batters he faced -- striking out two.

Jose Guillen had a two-run homer off Washburn in the third inning.
