April 22 (UPI) -- Monday's Google Doodle celebrates Earth Day 2024 and sustainable living. The word "Google" on the company's home page is spelled out using satellite snapshots of locations such as Turks and Caicos Islands; Scorpion Reef National Park in Mexico; Vatnajökull National Park in Iceland and the Great Green Wall in Nigeria.

"The Google letters showcase some of the places across the globe where people, communities and governments work every day to help protect the planet's natural beauty, biodiversity and resources," Google said.
"These examples offer the promise of hope and optimism, but also remind us that there's much more to do to address the climate crisis and biodiversity loss."
