Although it has since been deleted, here was the content of the tweet from NBC:
“CONFIRMED: Jameis Winston gives the Heisman stiff arm to the allegations against him of sexual assault. He will not be charged.”
That tweet might have been deleted, but the apology tweets remain.
The tweet in question was inappropriate and was pulled minutes after being posted this afternoon.

Winston has led the Seminoles to a 12-0 record and the No. 1 ranking in the country. If FSU beats No. 20 Duke on Saturday in the ACC championship game, the Seminoles will be playing in the Bowl Championship Series title game.
