Oct. 23 (UPI) -- A Minnesota woman broke a Guinness World Record by balancing 30 swords on her body in one minute.

Erin Hunter, of Edina, said she started learning to balance swords in 2004, when she began taking Middle Eastern dance classes, and over the years she worked the skill of balancing one or two swords on her body into her belly dancing routines.

Hunter said that despite her record attempt eliminating the challenge of dancing at the same time, it brought its own difficulties.

"Balancing 30 swords was more difficult than I originally thought," she told Guinness World Records. "Certain muscles need to stay relaxed so as not to bump the swords and increase their likelihood of slipping."

Hunter said she trained for 15 to 30 minutes per session multiple times a week to refine her technique.

She was eventually able to balance 30 swords in the allotted one minute, earning the Guinness World Records title.

"It was an incredible feeling! I perform in the company of other record holders and wanted to 'join the club,' as it were," Hunter said. "It still feels a little surreal to know I've broken a Guinness World Records title."
