Dec. 20 (UPI) -- A North Carolina dad taking a family road trip to look at Christmas lights in Virginia said his kids' bathroom break turned into a $150,000 lottery jackpot.

Travis Porch of Gaston told Virginia Lottery officials he was taking his family to look at the oceanfront lights in Virginia Beach when his kids needed to stop to use a restroom.

Porch stopped at a 7-Eleven store in Suffolk, where he decided to buy a pair of Cash Money scratch-off tickets.

The first ticket won Porch $15, while the second turned out to be a $150,000 jackpot winner.

Porch said he plans to pay off some of his mortgage and put the rest of the money into savings.
