Nov. 7 (UPI) -- A family whose pickup truck ran out of fuel on a Florida highway was able to reach a gas station by firing up the engine on their air boat.

A video filmed on Interstate 75 in the Wildwood area shows the filmer's son climbing aboard the air boat being towed by the family's pickup truck and starting the engine.

The air boat is able to generate enough forward momentum to push the truck, which had run out of diesel fuel.

"My husband, son and I had gone to the Guy Harvey Resort 'Camp Mack' in Lake Kissimmee," the filmer wrote. "While driving home, my husband was trying to make it to Wildwood, FL to get diesel fuel. Well, we didn't make it so my son jumped in our Airboat and crunk her up and pushed us off I-75 to the gas station."
