June 13 (UPI) -- An Idaho man's patience paid off to the tune of more than $2 million when he won a Powerball jackpot using the same numbers he's played for 18 years.

Michael Tran told Idaho Lottery officials he used the same numbers he's used for the past 18 years when he purchased a ticket for Saturday night's Powerball drawing from the Winco Foods store in Boise.

"I scanned the ticket with my phone last night and it said I had to contact the Lottery office," Tran said. "Then I checked the numbers for Saturday night and they looked very familiar!"

Tran matched the first five numbers drawn, 06-10-15-25-36, but not the Powerball, 14, winning $2 million.

Another line on Tran's ticket matched the first four numbers drawn, earning him an additional $300 with the Powerplay multiplier feature.

Tran said he plans to use his winnings to pay off his house and put the rest into savings.
