March 5 (UPI) -- A pilot on a United flight that took off and landed amid rough winds on the East Coast reported "pretty much everyone on the plane threw up."

The pilot of United Express Flight 3833 from Charlottesville, Va., to Washington Dulles International Airport reported after the flight landed that the trip had become "very bumpy on descent."

The pilot's report, shared by the National Weather Service Aviation Weather Center, said "pretty much everyone on the plane threw up."

The report said even the "pilots were on the verge of throwing up."

"The aircraft landed safely and taxied to its gate," United said in a statement provided to The Washington Post. "No customers required medical attention because of the turbulence."

More than 3,000 flights were canceled and another 4,800 were delayed Friday as a result of the nor'easter storm.
