Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Walmart is facing criticism online for selling a product that misrepresents the shape of Maryland -- and not for the first time.

The retailer's website has a listing for a Maryland-shaped craft panel made of fiberboard, but online commenters quickly noticed the object is a vastly distorted version of the state.

The retailer has come under fire online previously for a product that misrepresented Maryland.

The store was found to be selling University of Maryland T-shirts in 2016 bearing what was supposed to be the outline of the state -- but online observers pointed out the silhouette actually belongs to Massachusetts.
