Jan. 29 (UPI) -- An Oregon police sergeant was caught on video helping a sea lion find its way back to the water after wandering all the way to the store's parking lot.

Astoria Police said Sgt. Andrew Randall responded to a report of a sea lion at a busy intersection in the city and found the animal wandering around a parking lot.

The video, recorded by witness Simon Caron and posted to Facebook, shows Randall guiding the sea lion back to the water.

"This one is the farthest out that he's dealt with," a police representative told KATU-TV. "They try to guide them back in the water. Depending on the personality it takes time, sometimes they charge people!"
