Dec. 20 (UPI) -- A Colorado man scored a $3 million top prize from the very first scratch-off ticket in a new pack on the very first day of the new game.

Steven W. told Colorado Lottery officials he stopped Monday morning at Schrader's Country Store in Fort Collins and bought the very first ticket in the store's pack of $50 Bankroll Blast scratch-offs -- a brand new game that had just started that day.

The ticket turned out to be a $3 million top prize winner.

Steven said the money will go toward helping him retire early from his job at a bottle manufacturing plant.
