Dec. 18 (UPI) -- A New York state couple whose trip to the casino didn't bring them any luck spent their leftover cash on a lottery ticket that earned them $7 million.

Leon and Karin Greenberg of Ossining told New York Lottery officials they didn't win much during a recent trip to Foxwoods casino, but they had some money left over when they arrived home.

"Karin and I came back from a trip to Foxwoods and had some money left over," Leon Greenberg said. "She went down to the store to play our daily numbers and splurged on a $25 ticket. When she came home with the $7,000,000 winner it was unbelievable!"

The $7,000,000 Cash Blowout ticket contained matching number 21s with the $7 million jackpot as the listed prize.

"I immediately signed the back of the ticket," Greenberg said.

Greenberg, a meat wholesaler, said the jackpot -- $4,632,000 after withholdings -- will make their lives a little more comfortable.

"I plan to continue working, but a few less hours a week from here on out," he said.
