John Gonzalez and Kevin Bowers, who hail from Tampa, Fla., said they were at the Reagan Resort Inn in Gatlinburg when a bear wandered up to the elevator door about 12:30 a.m. Advertisement Gonzalez filmed as the bear wandered around the parking lot and sniffed at parked vehicles. "It was my first time ever seeing a bear and for being my first time up close, [it was] crazy," Gonzalez told WATE-TV. Gonzalez said the bear eventually wandered away down a back alley. The men said the hotel manager told them the bear is believed to be the same bruin that invaded a local candy store before Halloween.
