Oct. 31 (UPI) -- An evening visitor to a Tennessee city's downtown captured video of a bear running through the street and directly into a candy store.

A video captured by Tim Leonard and posted to Facebook by Tina Aucker, an employee at Aunt Mahalia's Candies, shows the bruin running down a crowded street and into the downtown Gatlinburg shop on Thursday.

Aucker said the bear might have spooked into the shop by the crowd that gathered to take photos of the animal.

"There was a lot of screaming and yelling going on," Aucker told WATE-TV.

Aucker said there were no customers in the store at the time and employees were busy washing dishes in the back.

"I come walking around like this and there was a bear standing right there. And I looked at it like this and I said, 'Hang on one moment and I'll be right back.' I turned around, walked back to the door and yelled, 'Amy, there's a bear out here,'" Aucker said.

She said the bear ran out without any candy, but she wouldn't have minded if it had helped itself to some sweets.

"Poor thing. Believe me, I would've gave him everything," she said.
