Nov. 9 (UPI) -- A barred owl is being rehabilitated after crashing into the glass wall of an Apple Store in Oregon and falling 20 feet to the ground, rescuers said.

The Audubon Society of Portland said workers at the Portland Apple Store arrived for work in the morning and found the owl on the ground outside the entrance.

The owl apparently struck the glass wall while hunting during the night and fell about 20 feet, the society said.

The workers used some chairs to create a barrier around the owl to protect it while waiting for a response from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

ODFW rescuer Susan Barnes arrived on the scene and carefully placed the owl into a box for transport to the Audubon Society's Wildlife Care Center.

The Audubon Society said a veterinarian examined the owl and determined it did not have any broken bones and maintained a full range of motion. The owl is being rehabilitated and is expected to make a full recovery.
