Thirty hippos attack, drive away crocodile

Oct. 26 (UPI) -- A safari-goer in South Africa captured unusual video of 30 hippos teaming up to attack and drive away a crocodile invading their space.

The video, filmed Wednesday, shows the mammals meting out some hippopotamus justice on a crocodile they caught lurking in an apparent search for food.

The hippos climb over one another until one of the animals manages to lift the crocodile in its mouth and shake it around.

The croc gets free of its captor and hurriedly swims away.

"These hippos refuse to allow this crocodile into their territory and quickly make sure they remove him from their space," the filmer wrote.
