Oct. 13 (UPI) -- A deer crashed through a glass door at Kansas State University and ran through an auditorium building where a lecture was taking place.

Student Taryn Clain tweeted a video showing the deer running around inside the McCain Auditorium building Thursday evening during a book lecture titled "#GetCurious: Life, the Universe and Everything."

"Only at k-state does a deer run through a glass door and into a building to be chased down," Clain tweeted.

Spencer Weiser, a student serving as head usher for the lecture, said he held a door open to try to help the female deer exit the building.

"I held open a door for him, but he didn't use it. He used his head on the [south] door and he got out and ran into traffic," Weiser told The Collegian, the university's student newspaper.

Witnesses said the deer was bleeding when it left the building, but its ultimate fate was unknown.
