Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe Oct. 12 (UPI) -- The San Antonio Zoo confirmed an unusual avian photographed by a bird water is a white-necked raven that escaped from the facility. Pete Mills said he snapped photos Tuesday of what appeared to be an African white-necked Raven near the intersection of Hildebrand and Blanco Road in San Antonio. Advertisement Mills posted a photo and a video of the bird to Facebook and emailed the San Antonio Zoo to confirm the bird's identity. "You are correct in it being a White neck raven, which we did have escape out of its enclosure yesterday [Tuesday]," a manager at the zoo said in an email Mills shared with WOAI-TV. "Unfortunately, with the high winds we lost visual on the bird and were unable to relocate it before the end of the day."
