Sept. 19 (UPI) -- A Canadian couple has recruited several corporate sponsors to help cover the cost of their dream wedding.

Jason Mielke and his bride-to-be Rebecca Hansen, of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan sought out financial help from various companies to fund their November wedding after Mielke lost his job in January.

"I still want to give you the dream wedding that you've always wanted," he told Hansen.

The couple spent about a year deliberating on the decision deciding to accept sponsors to pay for mentions during the ceremony and other benefits.

"I was a little hesitant, just because I usually keep pretty low-key in the community," Hansen said. "However, Jason has been pursuing me for quite some time...so I thought, what a wonderful match if we could do something like this together and bring everybody on board at the beginning of our life story?"

The couple have listed about 10 sponsors on their website and Mielke said he's open to offering space on his tuxedo for a company's logo, but Hansen's dress will remain sponsor-free.

"I don't know if we're going to go that far," he told the CBC. "I have seen pictures from the United States where the bride has whatever logos on her dress...we probably won't do that."

Mielke and Hansen hope the sponsor dollars will help pay for luxuries including pre-spa services for the bride and maid of honor, red carpet leading to the church and a gluten-free wedding cake.

"When a brand or product service or company makes a donation and gives to us, it's an association that is made with a happy, positively emotionally charged moment," Hansen said. "And the result is always a long-lasting and double-fold reciprocal return."
