Sept. 14 (UPI) -- A passenger on a flooded Florida street after Hurricane Irma discovered they were sharing the road with some unusual pedestrians -- a pair of koi fish.

The Brevard County resident captured video during a Monday morning drive of the two large orange fish swimming next to their car in the road, which was flooded with several inches of water.

The resident said the koi fish had swam out of a neighbor's pond when it overflowed during Hurricane Irma.

"At the height of Hurricane Irma, our next-door neighbor's koi fish had swam out of their pond. The next morning as we were driving out of our neighborhood through our flooded street, we spotted two of them!" the filmer wrote.

The resident said the fish were later recaptured and returned to their home.
