Aug. 28 (UPI) -- The New Jersey State Police said troopers responded to a stretch of highway to do traffic control while cowboys on horses worked to lasso an escaped bull.

The state police said troopers responded Sunday to Interstate 195 at the junction with Route 130 in Hamilton Township on a report of a bull walking along the shoulder of the highway.

The troopers ended up doing traffic control while cowboys on horses lassoed the bull and led it into a trailer to take it home.

"It took awhile, but the bull was removed without incident or injury. Just another day for the troops at Hamilton Station," the state police said in a Facebook post. "On a positive note, the bull is the lead suspect in a recent graffiti investigation in the area. Someone was spray painting, 'Eat more chikin' on area billboards."
