Ostrich pokes head into kitchen to steal food from dogs

May 17 (UPI) -- A pet owner captured video of her Jack Russell terriers confronting an ostrich that reached into the kitchen to steal food from their bowls.

Lynne MacTavish shared a video of her dogs, Mickey and Splodge, trying to enjoy a meal in their kitchen.

The terriers' peaceful dining is interrupted by Suki the ostrich, who pokes her head in through the open door and beds down to grab food from the canines' bowls.

The dogs angrily bark and nip at Suki, but she pays them little mind as she steals their chow.
