Man's emu on a leash turns heads outside pub in British town

April 24 (UPI) -- A group of friends in an English town stopped to capture footage of an unusual sight on the street -- a man walking an emu on a leash.

The video, posted to Twitter by user jackmorriss12, shows a man taking a leashed emu for a walk during the weekend outside the Bay Horse pub in Chorley, England.

The astonished onlookers shout questions at the man about his "ostrich," and he explains the animal is actually an emu.

The man, despite exchanging profanities with the group, agrees to bring his bird over so they can take a closer look.

"His name's Waters," the man says. "He's an [expletive.]"
