May 16 (UPI) -- A minor league baseball team in Tennessee celebrated "Game Night" at their stadium last weekend by treating fans to a game of "Real Life Mario."

The Memphis Redbirds, the AAA affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, held the promotion Saturday at its stadium and the event featured fans using a right field video screen to run through a Super Mario Bros. level.

A video tweeted by the team shows a person breaking blocks, jumping over obstacles, and crushing enemies to reach the castle at the end of the screen.

The screen reacts as the player moves, with sound effects taken straight from the original Nintendo game.
