March 15 (UPI) -- A South Florida man captured video of alligators "on parade."

Bobby Wummer said in a Facebook post that he was visiting Big Cypress National Preserve, about 40 miles west of Fort Lauderdale, just after sunrise Monday when he came across the gators crossing the path to get from a pond to a deeper canal.

"This was what I like to call 'Gators on Parade,'" Wummer wrote.

Wummer also captured still photos of the alligators, including one shot of a gator lunging to catch a snake. He said the serpent, a water moccasin, escaped.

Wummer said he made sure to keep a safe distance from the alligators at all times.

"I love gators and all kinds of animals," Wummer wrote on Facebook. "I respect them and their privacy, that is why I shoot [with] a big wildlife lens so that I do not disturb them and or get injured by one of them. Always err on the side of caution. It's not always about getting the shot!"
