Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Idaho wildlife officers were called to a farm near Malta to rescue an elk that ended up with one of its hooves tangled in a hay tarp.

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game's Magic Valley station in Jerome said senior conservation officers Aaron Andruska and Jim Stirling came to the rescue of the elk Sunday on a property near Malta.
