'Comic-con bandit' targets Colorado banks dressed as Darth Vader and Black Panther

LITTLETON , Colo., Dec. 21 (UPI) -- The FBI and local authorities in Colorado are seeking a costumed man believed to be responsible for a pair of bank robberies.

Robberies involving a man in a Black Panther and Darth Vader mask were reported at banks in Littleton and Louisville and authorities believe the suspect to be the same man, dubbed the "Comic-con bandit," according to CBS Denver.

The suspect in both robberies was described as a 5-foot-10 to 6-foot tall white male in his 20s with short brown hair and a thin build, according to Fox 31.

The man first targeted the bank in Louisville where he was seen wearing the Black Panther mask, gray hoodie, black gloves, dark pants and tennis shoes and demanded money before running away on foot.

During the second robbery in Littleton the man dressed in a Darth Vader mask, a dark hoodie, dark gloves and dark pants and claimed to have a gun, although no weapon was shown.

Local authorities and the FBI have encouraged anyone with information on the subject to contact Crime Stoppers.
