ATLANTA, Mich., Nov. 2 (UPI) -- A woman driving a shuttle in northern Michigan captured video of an unusual traffic delay -- dozens of elk trotting across the road.

Jennifer Ellis posted a video to Facebook showing the procession of elk crossing a rural Atlanta street Monday in a single-file line.

Ellis said she "missed quite a few" of the elk crossing the road before she managed to start filming the minute-long video.

"Well I had very fortunate good timing tonight. Driving shuttle to Alpena and experienced something I never had before. Check this out. Was freaking awesome. They just kept coming and coming," she wrote.

The exact number of elk that crossed the road Monday is difficult to ascertain, but there appear to be more than 40 of the animals in the video.
