Tech vlogger freezes iPhone 7 in Coca-Cola for 17 hours

SACRAMENTO, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- A California vlogger who specializes in creatively destroying the latest tech set his sights on the iPhone 7 with a bizarre test involving Coca-Cola and freezing.

Sacramento-based vlogger TechRax posted a video to YouTube showing him testing out the water resistant iPhone 7, which he said previously survived a dip in boiling water.

The vlogger pours Coke over the phone while it is switched on and then freezes the tray for 17 hours.

TechRax dumps the block of cola ice out of its tray and breaks it up with a hammer to free the phone.

The man quickly notices with surprise that the phone's screen comes on and, despite a drained battery, appears to be fully functioning.

He said the phone's sound volume appears to have been effected by its time frozen in Coke, but the camera remains in "crystal clear quality."
