8-year-old golf prodigy's shot fells camera drone in Australia

MAGENTA, Australia, Sept. 1 (UPI) -- An 8-year-old golf prodigy showing off her skills in Australia accidentally pulled off a difficult trick shot -- knocking a camera drone out of the sky.

Ruby Kavanagh, who is ranked No. 1 for her age in golf in Australia, was being filmed practicing her skills at the Magenta Shores Golf Course in New South Wales when her ball collided with the camera drone.

Video of the incident, featuring footage shot both from the ground and by the felled drone, was posted to YouTube by the drone's owner.

"Ruby Kavanagh accidentally hit my Yuneec Typhoon H and killed it whilst filming her at Magenta shores golf course," the uploader wrote.
