Pet wallaby searches Colorado owner's fridge for snacks

DENVER, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- A Colorado pet owner shared video of an unusual resident -- a wallaby -- digging through the refrigerator for snacks like "a teenager."

The video, posted to YouTube by Welby the Wallaby, shows the exotic pet digging through his owner's fridge at their Colorado home.

Welby digs through the fridge, ignoring bags of lettuce, under the watchful eyes of his owner's pet dog.

The wallaby eventually reaches his target, a bundle of green onions, and happily begins to feast.

"Welby the pet wallaby shops in the fridge through all the veggies to find what he wants. He's basically like having a teenager," his owner wrote.
