SAN DIEGO, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- A San Diego charter fishing boat captain shared video of a mako shark "flying" by leaping high out of the water while hooked on a line.

The shark performs a series of impressive aerial jumps and twists in the air in an apparent attempt to free itself from the line.

"'Flying Mako 3.' Yep, some big boys around right now!!! Words can't describe what it is like to see Mako sharks of this size come out of the water like they do," Martin wrote.
