Mexico City cab driver loses license over hood-climbing viral stunt

MEXICO CITY, July 20 (UPI) -- Mexico City officials said they are working on revoking the license of a cab driver who filmed himself crawling across the hood of his vehicle while in motion.

A video posted to YouTube by Mexico Special Operations shows the cab driver climbing out the driver's side window of his taxi while driving over a bridge in Mexico City and making his way across the hood to the passenger side window, where he crawls back into the vehicle.

Vigimovi CDMX, the agency tasked with collecting complaints about public transportation for the city's Mobility Department, said the driver's taxi license is being revoked by officials and he will not be eligible to drive public transportation in the future.

The agency posted a video of the driver offering a public apology for his actions in front of the Mobility Department's headquarters. The driver apologized for putting himself and other drivers at risk during the stunt.
