QUEENSLAND , Australia, July 13 (UPI) -- A group of Australian snake catchers removed a nearly 10 foot carpet python from a mountain property.
Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 shared photos of the large snake which was seen curled up on some rocks near the back of the property.
"I was called out to a beautiful property on Cooroy Mountain yesterday afternoon, to remove a '10 foot' Python," the snake catcher, Lockie, said. "Well for once they really weren't to far off the mark, this guy would have easily been pushing the 9ft mark."
Lockie added that he responded to the call on what was supposed to be his day off, but didn't have much trouble wrangling the massive snake.
"Not only was this fella one of the oldest and largest Coastal Carpet Pythons I have ever been lucky enough to come across but he was also beautifully natured and wasn't bothered at all to be moved on!" Lockie said.
