Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe REGINA, Saskatchewan, July 6 (UPI) -- Conservation officers in Saskatchewan are warning members of the public against "trying to take a selfie with the moose" seen swimming in a lake. Soloman Ratt posted a series of photos to Facebook Monday showing the moose, an unusual sight in the area, swimming in Wascana Lake, near Spruce Island. Advertisement The Wascana Center Authority and conservation officers said they are monitoring the moose, but there are no plans to take any action. The Ministry of Environment said the moose is unlikely to pose a treat to the public. Conservation officer Lindsey Leko said the moose might be staying on one of Wascana's islands. He told the National Post officers will leave the moose alone unless it "goes into attack mode." Leko said there is a possibility the moose will be tranquilized and relocated to its natural habitat, but there are currently no plans. The officer said moose can be easily agitated, so members of the public are being warned against approaching or "trying to take a selfie with the moose."
